On Tuesday, July 31, 2007 the RRWA helped co-host a free Farm Field Day at the J. Campbell Farm in Adairville, KY.  Several agricultural BMP's were highlighted.

The event was a great success with 56 attendees. Landowners, farmers, and state officials from both Tennessee and Kentucky came and enjoyed the free breakfast and the tour.

The Campbell farm is located on Pleasant Grove Creek, which is designated as impaired due to high bio-contamination.  The BMPs put in place will help to mitigate the impact that a large cattle farm can have on such a creek.

The event was hosted by the RRWA in conjunction with our great partners.

The Cumberland River Compact

The World Wildlife Fund

The Natural Resources Conservation Service

On behalf of our partners, the RRWA Wishes to thank Jeff Campbell for both making everyone so welcome, and for being a progressive farmer who is concerned about the water quality and quantity on our valuable farmlands!
